Elton is a giant handsome guy!

Elton is the happiest dog in the world! Elton is a very big boy and is 100% love bug! Elton loves all people, and does great with all dogs, large and small. He definitely does not know his size, as he would gladly climb up into your lap. In the true nature of lab’s, he is just as friendly and happy as you would expect. For a senior, he still has quite a bit of energy and would enjoy daily exercise and really loves the beach and hiking. He also will gladly snuggle up with you at night to watch tv or catch up on some reading. Elton is a spectacular dog and would make anyone so happy to have him! He would make the perfect addition to any home!

Elton is estimated to be 7 years young and weighs 76 lbs.

HERE’S WHAT ELTON’S FOSTER HAS TO SAY!

Elton is a love bug! He jumped right into my son’s lap when he got into the car, but rode most of the way home on the floor at his feet.

Elton has fit right into our foster family! He gets along well with our 13 year old female lab and with our teenagers. He was a little nervous at first, following us around the house, was a little sad when I left the house for a bit and was out of sight. But, these are natural behaviors that our dog exhibited when we adopted her from Muttville. We think Elton will settle in well once he knows his forever family and their routine.

Elton is very excited about food! He sits eagerly while waiting for meals. He has a habit of putting his paws up on the counter when he sees food that the family is preparing, but he responds well to a simple “No” and “Down” and a light pressing on his paws. He is calm and never aggressive about getting what he wants.

Elton walks at a good pace, but doesn’t race. He doesn’t know our routine or home yet, so he drifts into different driveways and the street looking for “home” and looks to the human for the lead.

He seems to be pretty well house trained but may need a little patience with this from new family.

Elton has been sleeping on the floor and doesn’t seem interested in a dog bed yet. He slept through the night in my son’s bed, because my son put him there. He’s a big dog, so my son slept in another bed. You’ll have to decide if you want Elton in the bed, he takes up quite a bit of space!
