Dyson is a classic big boy buffet: A little chocolate lab, a touch of terrier, a dollop or two of pittie and retriever. He’s got all the browns, some white toes, puppy eyes and inexplicable ears. One hundred percent sweet, this gentle chap will lean in for a nose-to-nose behind the ear massage and then throw it into reverse for a solid butt scritch. We guarantee that you’ll enjoy it as much as he does. He’s got a tad of arthritis, but still likes his walkies, and will bounce like a goofball half his age when especially excited. We think he’s the doting family guy you’ve always wanted. Come see if we’re right.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
We recently learned that Dyson’s original name was Bubba, and since we’ve started calling him that, it’s made a world of difference—he responds so well to it!
Bubba may be a bit older, but he’s got the pep and energy of a much younger pup. He loves his daily walks, playtime with toys, and he’s really blossoming into the affectionate, loving companion he’s meant to be.
In the short time Bubba has been with us, he’s shown himself to be the ideal work-from-home buddy. After a quick outing, he’s content to curl up and take a nap nearby or play with a toy. He’s great at letting us know when he needs a potty break with a soft nudge and a little whine—and he’s had zero accidents indoors! On walks, Bubba is calm and easygoing, not easily distracted by other dogs or people, but always polite and friendly if a dog wants to say hello. He’s a bit of a foodie, so he might try his best to sneak a bite from you, but with a gentle “no,” he’ll gladly lay down and respect your space.Bubba can handle stairs and jump up on the couch, though he could use a little help getting into the car or onto the bed. At night, he settles down quietly on the couch or in bed and patiently waits for you to wake up.While we haven’t heard Bubba bark, he does have the cutest little sounds when he’s excited or ready to go outside. He’s an absolute gem, and we’re sure he’ll make a wonderful addition to the right family!
