Are you looking for a peppy brown and white doggo to add some spice to your life? Although a little larger than the typical mutts we see at Muttville, Dr. Bronner has been fitting in splendidly with his canine companions. He’s a friendly guy, approaching both humans and canines with an outgoing attitude and personable manners. Despite a tough start in life, Dr. Bronner is a happy go lucky hound who is looking to diagnose all visitors to Muttville with a severe lack of mutts. He’d prescribe you with an adoption, STAT-you can trust him, he’s a doctor! If you’re looking to follow doctors’ orders, look up Dr. Bronner today! He’ll schedule you an appointment, and you don’t even need a referral.

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Dr. Bronner (who I call Doc) is such an awesome guy that just wants love. Typical of terriers, he is very smart and learned our routine quickly. Doc is so good on walks, he does not pull and is very neutral about other dogs. He mostly just wants to sniff around and stay close to his person. He does get along with my resident Chug (Chihuahua/Pug), but I think he would also do very well as an only dog.

His absolute favorite thing is to be close to a person. At his first Muttville adoption event, he spent two hours stretched out on one of the couches just loving each person who sat down to give him head scratches and belly rubs. He is very attentive and will take cues from you. He is a gentle soul who just wants to crash on the couch or lie at your feet. He would probably do best where someone was home a lot and go with you on your adventures. He doesn’t seem to have issues being left alone, and I suspect just he just slept while I was out for about 4 hours.

Totally housetrained, he does his business in the back yard or on walks. He has no problem with stairs. He eats well but does not seem particularly food motivated. He gets so excited when it’s “walk time” or “car time” and does this cute happy whine and silly dance. In the house he will bark when he gets excited but is very good at listening to a firm no. He will look at me and just seem to say, “Hey I just wanted you to know something is going on outside.” If you are looking for an intelligent and loyal companion, Doc is your guy.
