Douglas Fur is sweet and friendly. He loves people, and will sleep all day on your lap or next to you on the couch, if you let him. He will also go on fairly long walks and gets a bit frisky at times.
We have cats and he’s great with them.He seemed fine with other dogs while at Muttvile and has been friendly with dogs we’ve met on walks.
He’s a bit of a picky eater and prefers people food, so we’ve been feeding him chicken and rice mixed with kibble. I think he was a bit spoiled by his previous people! He loves turkey and liverwurst, which we use to give him his medications. He loves crawling on our laps, sleeping with us, going for walks, being carried. He’s fun to dress up, and we usually have a coat or something on him because he gets cold easily.
