Meet Dolores Abernathy!
Her ear stylist haaaates to gossip, but according to a source who’s a good friend of a friend who goes to the same ear salon, Dolores was once a stray, roaming the lonely roads covered in a giant coat of foxtails. She cleaned up beautifully, though, and now everyone just wants to know how they can emulate her unique style. In addition to being an accidental fashion icon, Dolores is so very sweet, loving, and ready to meet her forever family.
Popular Dolores has some special appearances scheduled, so you can’t take her home until after June 3rd. You can apply now, though!
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Dolores is such a good dog. Super chill, lovable, and of course so cute with those ears of hers.
She is housetrained (has had no accidents) and I currently take her out 3 times a day (morning, midday, evening). She loves to stop to sniff and explore everything when we go on walks – she’s not super fast, but she can go for a long time!
In the day, when I’m working, she just hangs around in my room and naps. She does seem to enjoy playing with toys, and I think would appreciate a variety of them. She can do a couple stairs at a time, but not a lot, and is not much of a jumper either. She barks occasionally, usually at strangers, but seems fine with other dogs. I left her alone for about an hour at a time, and she did well – I think if she had some kind of toy or kong to keep her occupied, she could be left alone for longer too.
She doesn’t like to sit in my lap, but will happily next to you on the couch or in your bed. Dolores is a precious mutt who will thrive in her furever home.
