Meet this adorable English Bulldog (approx. 7 years old, male, not neutered) who is currently in my temporary foster care in South El Monte, CA. I travel internationally and have a hard deadline of September 15 to place him safely. He is not my dog; he landed with me after being kicked out of his original home, and I’m trying to make sure he doesn’t end up in a shelter.
Snapshot
Breed/Age/Sex: English Bulldog, ~7 years, male, intact
Weight: ~60 lbs
Temperament: Extremely people-oriented, gentle, loves belly rubs and naps; low interest in playing with other dogs
With Dogs: Prefer slow/limited dog interactions; would likely do best as the only dog or with very calm, respectful dogs
With Cats: We’re managing slow, separated introductions; no confirmed history—cautious optimism
Energy/Behavior: Low energy, cuddly, good house manners so far (we’re supervising closely)
Health Notes: Dry/cracked nose (likely hyperkeratosis), a couple small dark skin bumps near groin we’re monitoring; otherwise eating/drinking and pottying normally
Vet/Records: Unknown vaccination status (happy to take him for basic vetting if that helps). Microchipped and registered to original owner.
History (brief): Acquired as a puppy 7 years ago → stolen after ~2 years → resurfaced ~5 years later → original owner cannot care for him → I’m fostering temporarily.
May be able to help with transportation and neutering.
