As serene as the glistening layer of moisture coating flowers in the morning, Dew is a quiet and reserved gentleman who may be a bit shy at first. He does enjoy gentle scratches and slow intros, so make sure to mind your manners while meeting him, but, once he warms up, he blossoms into such a warm presence. Dog friendly to the max, Dew is great with the other mutts, even sharing a crate with a fellow pup on their journey to Muttville. He might do well in a home with another doggo to befriend, and a good role model might help him with his confidence as well. If a cute doxie-terrier is on the menu for your life, Dew would love to meet you!

If you are looking to be a dog’s whole world, Dew is your guy. He is a sweet Chiweenie and a true ""velcro dog"" who loves nothing more than being right by your side. He absolutely lives for cuddles and will press himself as close to you as physically possible on the couch and in bed.
On walks, he regularly pauses to sniff your leg, doing a quick ""safety check"" to make sure everything is in order before continuing on. Right now, our routine has been two walks in the morning and afternoon for about 20-30 minutes each and a longer walk in the evening. He also gets along great with other dogs. Whenever he spots a dog he wants to meet, he has a cute habit of sitting right down and waiting patiently, even if the other dog is far away and hasn’t noticed him yet. We think he’d enjoy having another canine sibling in the household (right now he is cohabiting well enough with my cats).
Because Dew bonds so deeply to his people, he doesn’t love it when we leave, but on the dog camera, he calms down after some time and settles into his bed once he realizes you’re gone. With a consistent routine, he should continue to adjust well.
As a bonus, if Dew ever needs to take medication, he is an absolute dream patient. He sits well if you need to administer eye drops and ointment. He readily eats pills wrapped in a bit of deli turkey or mozzarella cheese, which are his absolute favorites.
Dew is a loyal, affectionate, and devoted companion who is ready to find his forever home.
