Desiree is a a silky Maltese sweetie with so much love to give and snuggles to share!
Desiree is a social butterfly who makes friends with everyone she meets. She’s perfectly soft for pets and a great side for lap sitting. Desiree may be vision impaired, but she has plenty of pep in her step, gets around well and is interested in checking out her surroundings. There are so many great smells to investigate! She also loves to climb up onto couches; brave little lady!

Sweet Miss Desiree may have been found as a stray, but she LOVES being held and carried around! Her favorite thing is belly rubs. You can rub her belly all day, she looks so peaceful, you just don’t want to stop!
She is pretty much blind, but is not afraid to explore. She also loves to eat and she does not have food aggression. As our newly adopted dog is also somewhat blind, he goes to her food sometimes, but she does not even growl.
Desiree is very affectionate, mellow and friendly. Lots of kids came up to us to say hi to her. She is also fine with dogs of all sizes. Because she’s blind, she needs a little extra attention on leash walks, she needs your help to ‘see’ what’s coming. She loves to stop and smell the roses (literally!) so walks are at a slower, sniffing pace.
