Della is a very pretty little lady! She is small, but packed with personality. Her favorite color is pink, and she is the ultra girly girl. She loves to hang next to her people, but also appreciates a very fluffy spot in the sunshine. Although she does okay with other dogs, she would be happiest as the queen of her castle. Della will make her new family very happy.

Della began her stay with me a bit shy but warmed up very quickly as we developed a relationship. I took some time to hand feed her and get her used to being touched by me. She warmed up in a few days, and is now my happy little friend!
She loves to be out on walks, and is a surprisingly fast walker! Taking her for a walk will make you her best friend. We get out for a few walks around the block (she’d go longer) daily. We’ve also sat in the park and at the beach, and she enjoys chilling and watching the world. At home, she’ll chill in her bed or a sunny spot during the day. She doesn’t mind being picked up or sitting next to you, but is content in her own bed and space as well. She keeps track of where I am in the house and will come relax in the room I’m in. If I leave the house, she barks a few times, and then gets quiet again.
She lets you know if she needs to go out to potty, and does so immediately on going out, which is very convenient. She’s a good sleeper and seems happy to sleep from 9pm-9am.
She’s aware of her small stature. She is timid around new people, and will bravely get about a foot away and try to sniff hands. She could use some confidence boosting in this area. A mature household or one with respectful older children would be good for her. She’s also fine passing by dogs, but will let the big ones know to back off if they get too close!
