Psych! Debbie Downer, the swee’pea chi, is not a downer! Not with those eyebrows. Lithe, long and super waggy, she’s here to raise spirits and occupy laps, coaxing dog and human friends into a positive state of mind. An agile girl with youthful verve, she has very nice manners and the bounce for stairs. Take her for walkies to spread the love or hit the couch for meditative nap therapy. She’s there for you, if you can be there for her.

Debbie Downer is the happiest and most affectionate little thing! She loves pets and cuddles and wants nothing more than to sit on your lap-and she climbs right aboard! She’s fully house trained, though there can be a little bit of excitement tinkles when she first meets you. She sleeps quietly throughout the night (preferably in bed with you) and is in no rush to get out of bed in the morning. She’s calm and quiet in the car. She’s quiet most of the time actually—we rarely if ever heard her bark.
She has plenty of energy-she jumps on the couch like a much younger dog! And she loves going for a couple walks a day, though she seems to be new to being on a leash. She is learning how to share the sidewalk with all the people she wants to meet- She is friendly and excitedly approaches people everywhere we go.
She is a very easy dog, we found. We never minded being left alone-she plopped herself off to bed whenever we went out. She a good eater and is very food motivated but always obeyed after being told to not beg while we ate-though we did generally have to tell her twice. She did fairly well on our carpeted indoor stairs but was a little nervous on the outdoor stairs and needed a bit of encouragement. But even in the cone, she made her way just fine without needing to be carried most of the time.
She is absolutely full of love and it is a joy having her around.
