Darling Daphne!!

If you think she looks sweet in her photo, you’ll fall in love at first sight when you meet Daphne in person. Daphne’s favorite spot here at the Muttville dorm is perched on a high bed where she can keep an eye on all of us and her fellow mutts. She loves to greet everyone coming and going. And, if by chance, some interested party is looking for a walking partner, Daphne’s always game. She’s ready to offer plenty of love and companionship to some lucky guardian. Can you give Daphne a warm and welcoming place in your pack? Would you do it for a Scooby snack?

Daphne is estimated to be 11 years young and weighs 29 pounds.

Here’s what her foster has to say:

Daphne is a total sweetheart and a perfect friend. She is happy laying in her bed near me. She likes to run around out in the yard but she is pretty mellow in the house. She warmed up to our whole family and home immediately. She isn’t interested in chasing a ball and she wasn’t that keen on stairs at first – but once we worked with her for a little bit, she figured them out! What a smart girl! She is fully house trained and has had no accidents.

Daphne is a great dog! I am not sure why she was surrendered, but she was definitely someone’s pet. She already knows everything about being a family dog. She greets us with excitement when we come home. She loves to hang out on her dog bed near us – under my desk in my office or up in my daughter’s room next to her bed. She loves attention, belly rubs and hugs. If she is sitting next to you, she will rest her head on your arm. She walked into the house and saw chairs, a couch, she eyed it all and seemed to recognize that she was home. She was thrilled with our backyard. She was running around the lawn like she was the happiest dog in the world, rolling in the grass and so excited to explore. She is quiet, no barking in the house. I gave her a bath the first night we had her and she was very calm, she stood patiently in our laundry room sink waiting for me to finish washing and conditioning her. She deserves a loving home and will make a great companion.

Staff Pick

Though she’s a good 30 pounds, Daphne is a lap dog through and through. She is most happy being as close to you as possible cuddling and getting belly rubs. Daphne is also very concerned with deadlines and will even help you work by laying her head or paw on your hand while you’re typing. Daphne loves to go on brisk walks and would really thrive in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs and run and leap like you wouldn’t believe.

Love,

Danielle
