In the early 90’s Cricket earned her MSW and became a clinical social worker
where she worked many glorious years as a family therapist. Judy loved helping people. She had the gifts of being a great listener, having a compassionate heart, and being able to make everyone she encountered feel significant and cared for. Now retired, Judy enjoys every opportunity she gets to play tennis or a round of golf. She is kind, enthusiastic, intelligent and knows how to bake the most delicious chocolate chip cookies and warm friendly hugs. Who couldn’t use either of the two from time to time?

Cricket is a perfect little girl! She loves to be held and literally touching her person at all times. She loves to lick and love up her person when sitting on lap and will cuddle into you in the most adorable way. She is only < 5lbs, so easy to carry but she is very fast and a strong walker. She can definitely keep up on brisk walks. I have not tested how far she can go, but I would expect a few miles.
She has perfect potty training, waiting to go outside and using the pee pad when she needs to go. I have not really noticed how she tells you she has to go, but I’m sure that is just a matter of you getting to know her.
She is a light eater but likes frequent meals. She is a pretty unpicky eater and welcomes what you put down. She would likely sleep on the floor and have not tried a crate (i doubt she would like being so far from the action in a crate), but she is pretty open to sleeping in dog bed. To sleep, I’ve put her in my bed on the dog bed. She does like being by her person, but when coached, she will stay in her dog bed. She sleeps through the night.
She does not bark, but is not crazy about being home alone. She is great with other dogs and most interested in larger dogs to try to play with! She loves the dog park and sniffing around and meeting the other dogs.
She is really amazing and a total love bug. A perfect purse dog, or to take walks around the neighborhood with.. for somebody looking for a very low maintenance dog to just be total loving companionship.
