Cozy is looking for just that, a comfy cozy place to call her very own where she can lounge the day away. This senior lady could not be any sweeter and is so deserving of a warm spot for the holidays. There is nothing more rewarding than offering a mutt that’s had it ruff some bits of Christmas turkey and a warm lap for snoozles. Will it be with you?

This dog is hospice due to the following medical conditions: Advanced age and poor mobility.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Cozy (aka Sploot) is a very very sweet and gentle very old lady. She has been staying with us for a few weeks now with a house full of dogs from a tiny teacup chihuahua to large pitbulls and is very easy and polite with everyone. Nothing much seems to bother her or make her nervous, she can be a bit in her own world but really likes to be nearby to humans and plop down right on your foot.

Cozy is a hospice girl and a potential adopter should be aware that she is quite elderly and has a very limited capacity mobility-wise. Her back legs are incredibly weak, and they go out from under her constantly. But she almost always can pick herself back up and doesn’t seem bothered by this or in pain. She is almost completely deaf but can hear a loud clap. She isn’t blind but is pretty blurry, stairs would be an absolute no for her. She falls quite a bit but also loves to explore so a flat home is a must for her to prevent injury.

Cozy loves to eat and takes her medication quite easily. She is very easy to pick up, and will cuddle if you place her on your lap or next to you. We always pay close attention if she’s on the couch tho, since she will also try to just flop off at any moment. She sleeps well thru the night on a dog bed in our bedroom.

In between naps she is constantly on the move, looping the house and yard, or as we call them, her "walk abouts.

Overall Cozy is an easy sweetheart who deserves a safe and comfortable home for the very last part of her life. As long as someone understands how to tend to her needs, she’ll be very happy to sploot around your house for the rest of her golden days.
