That’s Mr. Cooper to you! High School science teacher who has always and will always be everyone’s favorite. Not only does he ride a Harley, but he knows all the cool kid lingo and treats the class to pizza and ice cream once a month. He loves playing trivia on Monday nights at the local piano bar, and in spite of his age still shows up to class in the morning with loads of pep in his step. Nobody really knows much about his private life- he chooses to keep that under wraps. And nobody really cares. All anyone knows is that he is a cool guy who cares about everyone around him. And that is enough!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Cooper has a SURPRISING amount of energy for being 14 years old (excuse me, sir, can we see your ID?!?) He’s the most playful Muttville senior we’ve fostered so far. He gets really revved up whenever he sees or is given a ball of any size and loves playing with toys in general. Walking through the park, I’ve witnessed him try to steal a stranger’s basketball, and he is VERY interested in any games of fetch, frisbee, etc., even if they don’t involve him. Other favorite outdoor activities include chasing squirrels and pigeons, and looking at his reflection in windows, and honestly who can blame him? He’s so stinking CUTE.
Cooper is a good eater and is very food/treat motivated. We’ve been able to get Cooper to sleep in his own bed every night, and he seems to wake up on average around 7 AM. He’s had very few accidents since we brought him home for foster last week. We take him out for walks 2-3 times per day. While out on walks, he seems indifferent to other dogs, but does tend to bark when he feels they’re invading his space.
When Cooper is ready for chill time after breakfast and in the evenings, he makes a great work from home or couch companion, complete with adorable little snores and air kicks when he’s really relaxed. He accepts all forms of belly rubs, head scritches, and nose boops. We feel very lucky to have him as our house guest, and look forward to finding him a loving forever home.
