This sweet senior has fluffy black fur that is silky soft; while she may resemble a storm cloud, the pitter pat of her tiny paws and huge doggie grin will remind you more of sunshine. Cookies is a good-natured gal, waiting patiently for treats and being surprisingly tolerant of treat bandits and always snuggling into your lap for a quick cuddle. You’ll be surprised by the spunk and sass this sweet senior can provide – she’s sweeter than sugar cookies but can also be a little spicy. Although I’ve only had Cookies for about a week she has settled in very quickly. She is a confident and spunky little gal who loves all the pets and attention. She has a healthy appetite, is fully house trained, and loves to snuggle up on the couch. She does fine sleeping in her own bed and sleeps through the night. During the day, when I work from home, she mostly sleeps on the couch.
Whenever she senses that we are getting ready to go outside, she gets very excited and does these adorable little tippy taps with her feet. She has a decent amount of energy and really enjoys going out for walks. Cookies can be a bit selective about who she engages with on our walks (both humans and dogs), so we are working on positive reinforcement to help to her become more comfortable.
