C is for Cookie—and C is also for for charming! Cookie Monster is an energetic, handsome black-and-tan Chihuahua mix with an adorable tan mask and hops that will make you smile. He definitely doesn’t act his age and brings full Sesame Street–level enthusiasm to everything he does. This sociable little guy loves people, attention, and being right in the middle of the action. Cookie Monster is always ready to bounce, play, and make new friends—sharing joy wherever he goes (cookies optional, but appreciated). If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you laughing and on your toes, Cookie Monster is ready to move in and be your favorite snack-sized superstar.

Cookie Monster is HIGHLY food motivated, literally jumping for joy at the prospect of treats or meals. He does an adorable bouncy dance in anticipation. He is an eager eater! He is potty-trained. He thrives on regular outdoor outings and is good about his routine.
At home, he is cuddly and affectionate, liking to sit close and often perched with his head on a lap. If everyone is up and moving around, he happily follows along to see what’s going on. He sleeps well and can be left alone for 2–3 hours if needed, as long as he has a cozy space to land.
He is a zippy little dude on walks, eager to sniff everything, and trots along like a gentleman. He navigates stairs like a champ, both up and down. He prefers to be handled with care and can startle if picked up suddenly from behind, but overall, he has grown more comfortable with handling as he’s settled in.
He gets along well with our dog and has been calm and indifferent when meeting other dogs on walks. He is comfortable with our young teenager and with visitors to the home. Cookie Monster makes a sweet, cuddly, and funny little sidekick who loves being close and part of the action.
