Meet Cookie – she’s as sweet as her namesake and has a heart as big as Texas!

Cookie comes to Muttville from Texas, part of a group of dogs that we took in to help make room for displaced animals affected by Hurricane Harvey. This sweet “cookie” is looking for a kind and loving forever friend, who understands that she has been through a lot and may be a bit shy at first. She loves other dogs, and would prefer to be in a home with another fur-friend. Cookie will thrive in a calm and loving environment, where she can take naps in soft, warm beds. Could you use a Cookie in your life?

Here’s what Cookie’s foster has to say about this sweet girl:

Cookie can start off a little shy but is very sweet. She likes to know where I am & enjoys being on squirrel watch! :) Indoors she’s very low key unless it’s time to eat. When I let her out to the back yard she has found squirrels & birds very interesting. Cookie & our dog basically ignore each other. Cookie is bright & quickly learned routines & is learning basic commands. She spends a lot of time in her crate – she sleeps in it by the side of my bed. Cookie only had one accident in her first few days. She quickly learned where the door is if she wants out & if we’re not in that room she will whimper quietly to let me know she needs to go out. We’re in a routine now & she’s great about going when I let both dogs out! Cookie is such a sweet girl. It is entertaining to watch the two dogs outside, very aware of each other but pretending not to notice or care the other is there while they switch off following each other around the yard! :)
