Terrier, Scottish Scottie

When you look at the sky and wish upon a star, you couldn’t hope for a mutt cuter than Comet! This beautiful Scottish terrier came to earth by way of the stars, so he is filled with an otherworldly charm and a burning desire to find his forever family. This dapper gentleman has a truly exceptional haircut, with blonde bangs that drape fetchingly over his eyes and a simply splendid mustache. Comet is a little more used to spending time with stars and planets than other pups, so he’s a little shy at first, but we just know he’ll be a supernova when he comes out of his shell. If you’re looking for the answer to your wish upon a star, look no further than Comet!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

He is such a sweet, gentle guy!!!. His personality is slowly coming through and has been gaining confidence and that has been so heart warming. Comet’s jump awareness is dodgy and he sometimes in excitement takes such an animated big jump, its super cute. He can’t jump on the couch and bed by himself so having ramps will be super useful!

Comet’s a confident outdoor explorer who loves sniffing out new adventures in a classic terrier style. At home, he’s gentle, calm, and easygoing, never pushy, just enjoying life at his own pace.

He naps peacefully in sunny spots, isn’t bothered by mail carriers, cars, or noisy neighbors, and prefers his cozy dog bed in the living room. He’s not toy-motivated, but he loves chasing you around the house if you jog — his happy little trot is irresistible.

He’s also super calm around visitors and loves sitting with his “pack,” happily joining in on family time without fuss. If you need to leave the house, no problem – he will just nap until you return.

Fully house-trained, he’s comfortable going potty on the streets of San Francisco, usually right in front of your home. He handles alone time with ease, napping quietly in his favorite spot while you’re away. Stairs don’t seem to be a problem for this guy either!

Comet’s a guy who really values his space. Most of the time he’s happy in his bed (day and night), but every now and then he’ll wander up the stairs to sit on the couch with us. Even then, he always finds his own little spot to chill.

He likes things to be calm and gentle — sudden movements can spook him, and his way of handling it is just to hop a few steps away. He’s not into being picked up (he’ll tolerate it but will whine to let you know he’s not a fan).

He also doesn’t enjoy car rides yet and he tends to stay standing. I have noticed that unless he has an intention of napping, he will not sit. He loves observing us cook in the kitchen but he is always standing and watching.

He will kinda mimic our moves, if I jump while running, he will also jump. He also tries to match the jump intensity hehe. Late at noon, he will come up to you, tail wagging this is mostly him asking very nicely to play with him.

Overall, handling him is very easy. He will let you put his harness on and off easily. He lets me kiss him and lightly hug him. He is a big sniffer outside, he can literally spend 5 mins sniffing a small patch of tree.

All he needs is time and patience to come out of the shell and start trusting humans. If you’re looking for a gentle, low-maintenance companion who loves outdoor adventures and relaxing at home, he’s ready to steal your heart with his big beady eyes and scruffy face.
