Coltrane is a loving boy with a big heart and athletic physic. He came to Muttville after his devoted guardian lost her home, forcing them to live in a car. Unable to find a new home that would also allow her best friend to join her, she had to surrender Coltrane to a shelter. His world had been turned upside down and, understandably, he seems confused and nervous about what’s next. When Coltrane looks up at you, it’s like looking straight into his sweet soul. It is clear he is searching for that special someone to love. During his time at Muttville Coltrane has been a quiet, mellow, and sensitive boy, happiest eating snacks and taking walks. He has gotten along well with the other dogs he’s met at Muttville, and is looking for his soulmate to spend the rest of his days with. Coltrane really responds well to people who go slow with him and get down on his level. He will be a perfect best friend in a low-key home with someone who understands dogs and how to help them feel safe and comfortable. Because Coltrane is both nervous and a strong guy, we believe he will do best in a mellow adult home to help him blossom and feel safe again.

Coltrane is estimated to be 8 years young and weighs about 55 pounds.
