Handsome Cody is one of the sweetest guys around. He’s naturally inquisitive and friendly, with a proven track record of being a chill roommate to other dogs, cats, and even birds. Also, his gorgeous face and good nature will cheer you up when your Netflix binges end. Because that’s the worst, right? Yes, it is, but you’ll have sweet Cody to help you deal.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
He loves food and treats. He’s also a little kitchen gremlin. He sleeps most of the day and doesn’t play for more than 5 minutes at a time. He really loves playing tug with the soft toys. He hasn’t been interested much in the grassy areas of our backyard. He does well with my anxious and reactive dog. I believe the hearing problems help a lot with that. Because he can’t hear well, he doesn’t respond to verbal commands. But you can get his attention by hitting the ground, couch, or petting him. He seems to pace a fair amount looking for the best place to settle. Sometimes, it’s best to encourage him towards one of the beds or couches. Most of the time, he just wants to be near you!
Cody does need to be taken out often. If you bring him outside, he will potty. I imagine he would do well in a home with a doggy door. He doesn’t whine or bark often but when he does it’s quiet and cute! He’s good in a bath but needs to be held up in the bathtub. He loves to follow you around like a little shadow. Hehe! Also, he tolerates costumes very well :D
