ChiChi, along with a younger cattle dog, several chickens, and possibly other animals, was rescued from a backyard in March. The owner took back the younger dog but left ChiChi at the shelter. It seems the dogs may have never been indoors and were kept tied to a pole outside the whole.
When ChiChi first arrived at the shelter, she was confused and shut down — not an easy place for a senior girl with limited. But once she moved into a foster home, she blossomed. She settled right in and brought a gentle presence that feels like a warm blanket for the soul.
Her coat is shiny and soft again. Loves being brushed. She enjoys her daily walks and can go a good distance at a nice pace. She eats well, her system is very regular, and she hasn’t had any digestive issues so far. She is fully house-trained
Her ideal home
a calm, loving place with someone who enjoys a mellow companion, whether it’s a person or a family seeking a dog that brings peace rather than chaos. She wouldn’t probably appreciate living with young children. With a proper introduction, she could get along well with a dog of similar energy. She’s indifferent to cats.
She’s best suited for indoor living with pleasant daily walks. She doesn’t bark, making her perfect for condo or apartment life, and she’s low-maintenance, easygoing, and not at all picky about food. Her only quirks are that she dislikes vacuum cleaners and hair dryers.
She might be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she opens up and reveals all her sweet and adorable sides.
ChiChi is ready to give her heart to someone who sees how special she is.
