In a coat that appears to be made of feathers, lace and fine gauge cashmere, Chevelle is an exotic beauty who makes quite an impression. A leggy terrier mix, she defies categorization: Espresso ears match her curled tail and knee socks; a frothy cream faux hawk is a full-body affair. She’s definitely friendly and very busy, checking out potential pals, but also getting the lay of the land with sniffs and brief interviews. Friends, she is ready for fun, snoogles, mocktail parties and whatever you’re having. Come get acquainted and plan a fanciful future of tag-team adventure.

Chevelle is soft as a cotton and light as a feather, with a gorgeous coat of smooth, thin black and grey hair. She is well behaved on leash and off, and does well in my elevator and on public transportation. She quickly learned to “sit” on command and we’re working on house training. She has been sleeping through the night but needs to make a potty run outside first thing in the morning.
She has been a bit of a picky eater, preferring beef over chicken, not wanting to eat with other dogs around and appreciating human company while she eats. She naps frequently, but always aware of exactly where I am.
I think she might be part Velcro, as she loves to cuddle or snuggle non-stop or at least be very close to her human if she can’t be in direct contact. She’s ok being cradled like a baby and given fully body massages. Since she was found as a stray, it’s no wonder she enjoys having a home again and she still has to learn to enjoy her alone time.
