Meet Chef, a 7r old English Bulldog.

Chef has been with me for years and is a genuinely wonderful dog. Unfortunately, following a recent divorce and major changes in my household, I simply don’t have enough hours in the day to give him the exercise, play, and attention he needs. I’ve started to see him act out from boredom and lack of activity, and I know that isn’t fair to him. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I want to find him a home where he can get more of what he needs.

Chef is in excellent health. He is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, has no breathing issues, and has no known health problems. He is also unusually active for an English Bulldog his age and loves to play. Tug-of-war is basically his favorite thing in the world, so his ideal person needs to actually enjoy interacting and playing with their dog rather than looking for a bulldog who just wants to sleep on the couch all day.

He is well trained, house trained, non-destructive, affectionate, and an all-around great dog.

A few important things about his ideal home:

● He does very well with small dogs.

● With larger dogs, he is selective. He particularly does not do well with German Shepherds or Huskies.

● I would prefer an adult-only home. My own son, who is now three, has grown up alongside Chef and Chef has been wonderful with him, so this isn’t coming from an incident with my child. However, Chef isn’t a dog I would place into a household with unfamiliar children, and I want to be completely transparent about that. He is high energy so small children are not a good match.

● He needs a home where someone has the time and desire to play with him and keep him active. He absolutely needs his tug-of-war time.

This is a courtesy post. Chef is not a Muttville dog. If you are interested in adopting Chef and want to learn more about him, please contact: Mona at monaleenam@gmail.com.
