Here’s some notes from his foster!

Since coming into foster, he has been an incredibly well-behaved and loving guy. He is potty-trained, and will go sit by the door when he needs to go out. He will beg for food a little while, but once he realizes he won’t be receiving more food himself, he goes off to his bed to take a snooze.

He is so much more active than I thought! This little guy is all about the walks, we have gone for good 2 mile walks and he is great. He bounces and twirls when he’s happy and ready to go outside, spinning out of excitement. When he is excited for food, he will bounce up and down. He is a little prissy though :) He likes to stay on concrete or asphalt and has not been a fan of the nature walks, wet grass and mud are not this fancy guys’ thing. I also took him to Ocean Beach and he was not a huge fan of the sand and wind, which is understandable, he was mostly carried there since he was definitely not loving it.

He sleeps in his own bed next to my bed and once covered up for the night, he does not move until the next morning when I get up, and even sometimes continues to snooze on until he’s ready to come out. He loves to have a good snuggle over a morning coffee, and if I’m preoccupied he’ll go over to a bed with soft blankets and snuggle in.

I have not heard him vocalize at all, I heard there was a theory he may have been de-barked, which is sad but this little guy finds other ways to express himself. He also is very calm with big noises, there was a garbage truck outside my window very early one morning and he didn’t budge. I do not see any separation anxiety with him. He has been great at meeting new dogs in the neighborhood, that tail won’t stop when seeing another dog.
