Oh Captain, my Captain – how can we explain this sweet senior boy? He’s handsome: a perfect mini pinscher/chihuahua mix, with the golden eyebrows and unmistakable markings common to the breed. He’s an expert snoozer, happy to hunker down in a bed or lap for one of his favorite activities – naps! He’s charming and charismatic, getting along phenomenally with the other pups and often found snuggling one of the dogs he came in with. Last but not least, he’s the epitome of a senior soulmate – quiet and calm when he’s tired but sweet and peppy when the zoomies strike, cuddly when he wants to be but able to entertain himself as well – Captain is the total package. Captain is as charming as his name suggests—a gentle soul with a quietly observant spirit. Since I started fostering him, his warm, endearing personality has truly come to life.
Ever the “Captain,” he enjoys pausing on walks to take in his surroundings, calmly surveying the world as if he’s in charge of it all. At home, he’s a cozy companion who loves burrowing into blankets, though he’ll happily emerge to find his favorite person and settle close by. He’s also a big fan of balancing couch time with a good sunbathing session, soaking up warmth whenever he can.
He greets you with a soft, adorable mewing sound and an enthusiastic wag of his tail. If he’s cozied up in a comfy spot, he’ll happily roll over on his own, inviting endless belly rubs—little moments that quickly become the highlight of your day. Captain is the perfect mix of sweet, soulful, and quietly affectionate.
