Candyman

Candyman

Male
43 lbs (medium)
Status: Adopted

If you look in the mirror and say Candyman five times, instead of summoning up a demon with a hook hand, you’ll see a stunning Basset hound with stubby legs, huge paws, and the floppiest ears we’ve seen at Muttville in a while! As sweet as his name suggests, this saccharine senior would love to join your family in time for Halloween – while not exactly spooky, he’s happy to dress up and join in the fun! You probably shouldn’t let him eat too much candy (although we’d love to see his zoomies on a sugar high!), but what would be cuter than a Basset hound handing out treats? We think you should treat yourself this Halloween by taking home a Candyman!

Here are some notes from the Foster!

Candyman is nothing like his name! He has been the sweetest and most gentle (despite his size) foster we’ve ever had. He is friendly and curious to other dogs, even ones that bark at him. He is super goofy and very vocal about anything that displeases him. He definitely is food motivated and curious about any nook and cranny in the home. Any disciplining whatsoever (e.g. when he jumps up on counters to get said food), and he rolls onto his back and shows his belly. He is great on leash, and doesn’t seem to be phased by city noises. His perfect day includes being out and about to enjoy the sun, but also lots of time snoozing on the couch! It has only been two days with him, but it has been so fun with this goofy guy.
