Cameroon is an area known for being rich in cultural and geographic diversity, and, while he might not seem so at first glance, Cameroon is a multi-faceted little mutt. At first glance, you see a cute chihuahua, but with a marbled caramel and ebony coat instead of the typical tan. Cameroon couldn’t decide if he wanted his ears up or down, so he chose one of each, giving him just a hint of mischief about the face. Is he a sweet snuggler, a sleeping beauty, or a charming chi who wants you to give him treats? Depends on the day! If you’re looking for a mutt equally suited to brief jaunts in nature as he is to cuddling up for a snooze, bring home the captivating Cameroon!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Cammie is a lovely sweet, well behaved boy, who quickly bonded with both of us and follows us around. So far we haven’t heard him bark at all, but he furiously wags his tail when we say his name (Cammie) and even comes when called.
He’s very neutral and chill with our other 3 older Chi dogs, and doesn’t even give the cat a second glance! He loves to cuddle on the couch and burrows in his blankets. He sleeps through the night, right beside my bed. Housetraining is going well; he does well in the yard when we take him out every few hours.
He uses the doggy stairs to get onto the couch but will jump off if he thinks we’re headed into the kitchen. He’s very interested in food when we are cooking and he waits for us to toss him some treats and he definitely prefers human food! When I put the bowl down he doesn’t eat from it, which may explain why he’s so skinny. But when I hand feed him, he gobbles it all up. He needs to eat a lot so we do it many times during the day.
He likes to go out in the yard with us and search all the perimeters but mostly wants to be inside, especially laying in the sun just inside the sliding glass door snoozing. He’s a sweet, quiet, gentleman who is very affectionate—a great guy to have around!
