Butternut is the sweetest lap loving gal you’ll ever meet!

This delicate lady is cuddly and will happily snuggle in for quality lap time. She also enjoys a good snooze on a soft bed when no laps are available. Butternut has impaired vision, but will easily find her way into your heart. This sweet lady is also diabetic but doing really well and so great about it all.

Here’s note from her foster:

Butternut has been with us for just over a week now. She’s a snuggly, adventurous love of a dog. She doesn’t let her blindness get in the way of exploring the house and the yard. She has the layout down pretty well. The only issue with her sight is that sometimes she inadvertently runs into one of our dogs and both of them are surprised.

We’re trying to put some weight on her and that means Butternut gets frequent small meals – she thinks that’s great! She seems to be doing well with her insulin for diabetes and that will help her gain weight also.

Butternut wants to be around her people. She will settle when left on her own but much prefers to be included in the human doings.

She’s smart, loving and a character. She’s truly a treasure!
