Butchie is a super cute little mutt!
Our best guess is that little Butchie is a brussels griffon/terrier/chihuahua mix, but who knows?! Whatever he is, it’s adorable! Butchie has been through a lot of change and is an introvert. He is a shy and quiet guy, but we can tell he wants to be loved! Butchie is looking for someone patient and committed to help build his confidence so he feels safe and comfortable. We can tell that once he comes out of his shell, he will be a playful little dude. Butchie will be most comfortable in a mature quiet home to help build his confidence and go at his own pace. He does great with other dogs, he seems to enjoy having them around, and we can tell that he wants to play, he just doesn’t seem to know how yet. Butchie is a really special mutt who is looking for love.
Butchie is estimated to be 8 years young and weighs 11 lbs.
HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAD TO SAY:
Butchie is a special little guy. We have been fostering him for two weeks now and are seeing him come out of his shell. When he first arrived at our house he appeared nervous and unsure. Through a combination of food offerings (just plain boiled chicken and rice) and letting him be, he is much more comfortable now. Butchie loves to eat, drink water, follow us around the house, and go for walks. He doesn’t mind our cat! We have bathed him once which he didn’t love but tolerated. He seems playful now when he runs around the house, but he doesn’t seem interested in his ball. He just seems happier and likes to be around people! Butchie is in great physical health and the only medication is takes is for his anxiety.
Butchie would be a good dog for a patient person who can spend a lot of time with him, treat him with extra sweetness, and take him for regular walks. He would do best in a quiet house as an only dog. I don’t know if he will ever be a cuddly dog, but he will want to be in the same room as you, and loves to curl up in a dog bed. He is adorable!
