Brutus was surrendered to us by his owner due to his owner having to move in with her family and they are allergic to dogs. Brutus hasn’t skipped a beat since he has been here!!! He is the friendliest guy in town! He loves all people and dogs. He has lived with children ages 2 months and up to 9 years old. He has lived with dogs of all sizes and isn’t really into playing with them, but he doesn’t mind them at all. Brutus is house-trained and also knows to let you know when he needs to go out. Brutus doesn’t mind being left home alone. Brutus knows sit, shake, lay down, stay and speak!!! What a good boy!
Brutus has a smile on his face all the time and is one giant teddy bear! If you are looking for a big old couch potato to have a Netflix marathon with, he is your guy!!!

Brutus is sweet, attentive, very affectionate & relatively disciplined. He loves being physical, close & actually snuggling. He can be left alone for long period of times but definitely likes to have people around. Brutus enjoys a couple of walks a day. Otherwise, he is pretty sedentary. He is curious & tolerant about other animals but doesn’t get over-excited or particularly want to play. He seems curious but does not pursue or bark. Brutus likes a hug or a good rub & he is fine. He can take a little bit to warm up when new people visit. Brutus is pretty good with house-training, he is well trained & can ask to go out. But he should be taken out in the morning, late afternoon & evening. He likes to nap nearby where you are. He is very affectionate & will ask for hugs & to lay with his head in your lap if possible. Given his size, strength & otherwise “fierce” looking face – it is a little funny how sweet & affection-driven he is.
