Brewster, Brewster, Brewster!!!

This little guy is a really fun addition to any home. He’s small enough to fit in your pocket and just be your best bud.

HERE’S WHAT BREWSTER’S FOSTER HAS TO SAY!

Brewster is an active little old man who loves going for walk-and-sniffs, taking long deep naps, and burrowing into his favorite spot on the couch. He’s not a barker but does make cute little pig noises when he’s sniffing around. He gets along great with other dogs (all sizes, even those much bigger than him) and people! He plays with our landlord’s dog every day and makes friends regularly at the park.

Brewster loves his people and will sit right in between your feet when you’re standing, or on them if you’ll let him. He’s so far not very interested in toys but loves a good pile of blankets. He has a healthy appetite and takes his meds like a champ. At night time, he sleeps on his own bed in our bedroom and sometimes wanders into the living room to snooze on the couch or a floor cushion. (He would probably happily sleep in a human bed as long as he has a boost up!)

He adjusted to our household immediately after arrival and was acting like he owned the place within hours. It took him no time at all to get comfortable in a brand new space and he immediately fell in love with his brand new humans – he is happy to be with anyone who will give him pets, walks, and a cozy cushion to snooze on!

Brewster is about 90% house trained. This little guy has a little bladder, so he’ll do best in a home with regular access to a backyard, or with humans who have time to take him out every two hours or so. Wrap-around “belly bands” are easy to put on and help him get through the night.

Because Brewster has ache-y joints, he should be handled with care when putting on his harness and being picked up (he’ll let you know if you’re touching a sensitive spot with a gentle yelp). For this reason, we feel Brewster would likely do best in a home with older children. He would be happy with or without other dogs at home.
