Bourbon is the best li’l companion. He loves to be with people, even if that means taking a nap in his doggie bed at my feet. His fur coat is luxurious and he loves nothing more than getting pet and rubbed. He’ll give you a smile when you hit the right spot with a head scratch.
As a senior he sleeps a lot and can be left alone for stretches during the day. He’s likes car rides and is unfazed by other bigger dogs. He sleeps through the night and likes his morning belly scratches. He’s a simple older gentleman who prefers kibble, one potty break, and NOT to be interrupted during his long night of beauty rest.
He’s friendly and calm with other dogs on the leash and will let people pet and cuddle him. Sometimes, he insists. We’re working on stairs. He handles the half-flight out to the backyard like a champ now but is still timid with the full flight coming in front of the house. I’m confident he’ll figure it out with more practice and patience.
