Want to meet a senior pup that masquerades as the Energizer Bunny? If so, Bluetiful wants to sign up to be your very best friend. Constantly in motion, this wiggly, lovable chihuahua has a tail that never stops wagging and a mouth stretched so far in a doggy grin that you can see into her stomach! Just kidding about that last part, but if you’d like to throw some treats her way, she wouldn’t mind. Bluetiful is beyond ecstatic about, well, everything, so she’s like a pick-me-up and an espresso shot all in one. It’s impossible to feel anything but positive around this little lady, so if you’ve been feeling down, she’ll turn your frown upside down! Are you looking to make your life a little more Bluetiful?

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Here’s my typical day: I slept like a baby. I like to wake up at about 8:30 in the morning and immediately go outside for a 10-minute walk and then come home and have some breakfast and then play a little bit. I’m having a great day already. And then it’s nap time. My foster dad placed my bed on the middle section of the sofa and he sits right next to me. I love that. Uh-oh my dad just got up to go to the kitchen and I’m gonna go follow him. He’s a really good cook, he doesn’t like sharing his food which probably is a good thing cause I’m watching my figure. Later in the afternoon, I’d like to go for an early afternoon walk. Then swing on home, and get a little shut eye. Not again, my foster dad‘s gotta go to the bathroom—I think I’ll go follow him. He does that a lot. It’s definitely helping me get my steps in. Around 6:00 or so, right after dinner, I’d like to take another 20 minute walk. I have boundless energy and don’t really like to sniff around too much. I just like to go for a steadfast and brisk walk. If I see another dog, I just want to engage, but my foster dad holds me back since I can be a little overly excited. Can you believe it, me? But if I see someone that I like on the street, I will play with them, even if they are children. I even played with a little baby in a baby car seat. She was really sweet. Speaking of, I sure do enjoy my snacks, especially a half a slice of American cheese. Mmmmm….cheese. But, only half a slice? Well, my foster dad’s about to hop in the shower so I’m gonna stand/sit in front of the shower stall and wait for him to hurry the heck up. I’m funny, I made a joke. Finally, before I go to bed, a quick 5 minute walk just to make sure. Yay, we get to go to bed. I initially liked to sleep above the covers, but always near my foster dad. I can’t wait to find my furever home although this one’s been pretty good so far. I think I’d like a family with kids.

Bleautiful has become my little shadow, following me everywhere I go, literally. She is the sweetest, most friendly dog I have ever met. She will go up to strangers and want to play with them on the street. Everyone just falls in love with her. However, she’s not a dog lover. She does enjoy a long walk. In fact when I picked her up at Muttville headquarters on Florida Street we ended up walking home—1.6 miles—and she still had energy left over. It’s hard for me to imagine that she’s a senior… She seems like a puppy sometimes. Blue likes to sleep right next to me under covers. She doesn’t prance around the bed. She just basically goes to sleep and when I wake up, she wakes up. Blue rarely barks…perfect in you live in an apartment.
