One thing you’ll notice immediately about Bluegrass, is that’s he’s excited to be here! From his wiggly body to his joyful barks, Bluegrass is perfect from his head to the tips of his terrier mix toes. If you enjoy taking short walks about the neighborhood, Bluegrass is the perfect plus one, but if you’d prefer to veg on the couch for a cuddle, he’s got you covered there, too! Bluegrass is easily bribed with treats so you’ll be fast friends if you slip him something yummy, but his natural friendliness makes him a favorite with all friends both human and canine. If you’re looking to make a match with a mutt, Bluegrass hopes you and he will be on the same sheet of music.

Bluegrass has settled in very nicely to our home. He has become a really mellow and chill little dude. Just give him a bit of time to settle in and his personality will shine bright!
He is reliably potty trained. He’s good on the leash and has great energy for his walks. He gets super excited when I tell him we’re going for a walk. He loves strangers and will say hi to all dogs and people we see on our walks. He loves head scratches and being brushed. He’s ok with being held for a few minutes, but then wants to be put back on the ground. He has shown no signs of aggression at all. He will sit for his food and treats and takes the treats very gently.
He is very food motivated and loves getting his dinner in a kong. Once he’s gotten all of his food out, he plays with the kong by tossing it around. It’s pretty damned hilarious. He will bark if he sees you leave, but if he’s working on a kong, he’ll focus on that and not notice that you’re leaving. He loves to do play bows and play chase with other dogs. He is very able bodied and can climb our steep stairs with ease and jump up on the couch when invited. He sleeps well through the night, in his own bed. He does get up early, around 6:30.
It took him a few days to settle in, but now that he has, he is such a great adorable dog.
