Blueberry is a gentle soul who’s looking for her forever home. Blueberry is a sweet little girl who’s curious about everything around her. She comes to us from the San Jose Animal Shelter so unfortunately we don’t have any information about her previous home life. Despite all the recent changes in her life, she’s adjusting well and is ready to give you unconditional love.

Blueberry’s foster here, she has quite a story with us so I would love to tell it!
We first had Blueberry as a foster 3 years ago when she was a spry, energetic 10-year-old. She got adopted by an amazing family who loved her for 3 years, but was not able to take care of her anymore. Now she is back as a much more laid back, mellow 13-year-old hospice mutt.
What has not changed is Blueberry’s gentle and easygoing disposition? She is still sweet as pie and loves people, dogs, cats, and has even lived with small children. A typical chi, Blueberry is absolutely devoted to her people and will follow you from room to room just to be close to you. She loves to cuddle on the couch and spends most of her days taking naps. Blueberry is also fine being left at home for several hours, she doesn’t have anxiety and will wait patiently for you to get back.
She also enjoys short walks so that she can sniff and sample a few bites of the local greenery. Treats go a long way with Blueberry, she is even happy to gobble up treat-wrapped meds without hesitation. I don’t think she even chews, just inhales!
Blueberry’s only challenge is that she is completely incontinent for both #1 and #2. She will need a family that is able to diaper and change her for the remainder of her life. But the good news is she comes with a supply of super cute little doggie diapers and full doggie diapering 101 support from her foster family. Blueberry is very easy and cooperative; any adopter will be a pro in no time! Sweet little Blueberry will be a perfect little fur "baby (diapers and all!) for almost any household.
