Birken Stock (yes, first name Birken, last name Stock) is the perfect little companion. He is pretty independent and will chill and do his own thing most of the day, as long as he can be around you. He is equally happy lounging and walking, but gets super excited about walks and is very food motivated.
My favorite little qualities he has is that he spins around and around when you’re putting down breakfast or dinner for him and he whines with excitement when you are putting on his harness to take him for a walk. He likes to snuggle under the covers in bed but also will get off the bed or other furniture if he’s told to.
He is chill with all dogs so far, but sometimes only after being allowed time to get comfortable with them. He loves all humans, especially if they give him treats and head scratches and belly rubs. Besides the excitement whines, he is super quiet inside, and he has done long stretches holding down the fort at home while I run errands. It’s hard to stay away for long though because I just love going home to him!
Birkenstock is the bestest boy! He is great on leash, house trained, and loves to check himself out in the mirror and admire his beauty. At night, Birkenstock can be found curled up next to me under the blanket.
His personality has come out more and more each day as he gets to know me. And when not inside Birkenstock enjoys car rides, walks, or long hikes.
Birkenstock is a really sweet, loving dog. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and sharing space with him!
