Biggie is a 10 year old Shih Tzu. He was abandoned by his previous owner and has medical issues. He wasn’t socialized well and will bark very desperately when meeting new dogs. He is intense but because he wants to see them so he will need to be introduced to other dogs if there are any in the home. He doesn’t mind cats much. He has a history of being attacked by larger dogs so he is nervous around new larger dogs but eventually warms up and had a black lab as a best friend for a while.
He weighs under 25 lbs.
He has dental issues that need to be dealt with along with some possible kidney issues. Unfortunately I am not in a place that I am able to keep and care for him properly otherwise I would.
He has had gastro issues in the past as well but since being on Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach he hasn’t had issues. He likes his space and doesn’t like hugs but is excited to see kids. A bit food aggressive (if he thinks it will be taken he gets intense) but has never bitten anyone over it.
He likes and is friendly with kids but prefers his space and doesn’t appreciate kisses or anyone in his face. He doesn’t like drinking out of metal bowls and prefers to eat off a mat because of his flat face. He is pretty good walking on a leash/harness but can pull at times and he likes to lick the ground which I try not to let him do. He absolutely loves to fetch and make biscuits with his fuzzy toys. He has and loves nice comfy bed.
