Who is this adorable little black and white Terrier who loves to stand on her hind legs for treats? That’s Bessie!

Raise your hand if you are looking for an adoring little companion who loves to go on walks just as much as she loves to be held. Hands and paws down, that’s our Bessie! Bessie is so huggable that once you have her in your arms, you’ll never want to put her down. She’s so soft and so sweet … and we love her raccoon eyes! Anyone who has a heart can see that Bessie has a sort of Dusty Springfield thing going on with her eyes! We all know that inner beauty is great, but Bessie also obviously knows that a little mascara never hurts! Bessie is a true pure beauty, inside and outside, through and through. Do you want a little more beauty in your life? Well, set off to Muttville and meet Bessie today!

Bessie is estimated to be 7 years young and 8 pounds.

Here’s what her foster has to say:

Bessie is loving, loyal and energetic. She’s so much fun to play with, run with and cuddle with. She loves to be right next to you whatever you’re doing. Would sleep curled up next to you every night if she could. I was even able to bring her to work and not have her be a distraction or be unhappy!

Her energy level is pretty high! But she feeds off the energy of the room, so when it’s time to relax, she will calm down. If she’s being too crazy, she tends to calm down if you pick her up like a baby!

She’s can be a bit nervous- though she’s gained a lot of confidence over the last month. Loud noises (buses) when walking, has to get used to stairs, new places, going in and out of them. She gets very scared if you raise your voice at all – poor thing!

She’s working hard on her housetraining! She gets excited and pees, but as long as you can take her out multiple times a day, (especially RIGHT when you get home), you can avoid accidents. She would be GREAT in a house with a dog door where she could go out into a yard anytime she needed.

I think a bigger fenced in backyard would be amazing for her energy too (though not required!) – she loves to just run around in circles. She also loves to chew on toys (and will sneak the occasional sock!), and likes being picked up and held.
