PENDING ADOPTION
Big boy Bernie is bringing the big dog energy (meaning he loves lots of naps) and the big dog paws! Yes, he’s a real looker, but he’s just as nice as he is handsome. Friendly, cuddly and so easy going that he squeezed 100+ pound self into a Mini Cooper to go to his foster home, Bernie will make all your large dog dreams come true!
HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAS TO SAY!
Bernie is a genteel giant. Everyone that meets Bernie falls in love immediately! After a few days he has settled into a nice routine. He sleeps through the night in his bed, goes for a short walk in the morning and then enjoys the day taking naps and checking in with me every once in a while. Currently he is living with another dog and a cat. He is fine with his housemate dog and greets other dogs on his walks with mild indifference. Bernie does a great job on his leash, and a walk around a short block seems to be his limit.
Bernie has access to a back yard and goes in the back to relieve himself. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house. We have 5 steps to the backyard and he is able to climb the stairs but would benefit from less steps if possible.
Bernie is such a sweet dog with a great demeanor.
Currently he is living with two adults but he has always been so pleasant with everyone including people who snuggle with his face. I mean, it’s kind of hard not to!
He really wants to be with the person he bonds with and may need help to spend time alone.
