Meet Belinda, the GOAT of dogs! This statuesque beauty queen is so sweet and friendly we can hardly stand it. As soon as the ouchie on her foot heals up you’ll find her to be a very strong, active girl who can’t wait to accompany you on all your long walks and adventures. Belinda loves dogs, kids, grownups – she’s just so incredibly nice! And pretty!
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Belinda is just the sweetest girl ever! Her favorite activities are (1) breakfast, (2) dinner, (3) treat time, (4) exploring the world (5) napping, and (6) singing with the firetrucks. Belinda has been patient and easy going with children and other dogs we have encountered, and it is clear she was well trained in the past. She is house trained, and knows her basic commands.
She came to us with a big ouchie on one of her paws but that didn’t stop her from giving kisses and wagging her tail. She subsequently lost her leg, but is getting better, stronger and faster every day. She will never be able to go on a long hike on rugged terrain, but a good walk around the neighborhood will be right up her ally.
She does not go up on furniture, and the one time she did after being invited she was very uncomfortable with the concept. She does stairs outside, but she will not go up or down indoor steps. It might be the indoor steps are too steep or slippery, but it seems as if she was trained not to do this.
Belinda is ready to find her furever home and and her furever snuggling partner.
This dog is hospice due to the following medical conditions: aggressive, malignant melanoma on the hind leg. This leg was amputated for quality of life, but it is highly likely the cancer has spread to other parts of her body.
