Every once in a while a dog comes along that we all have a little bit of a crush on. Think of adult Simba from the Lion King-we all know he’s handsome even though he’s a cartoon cat. Beau is just like that. He’s suave and good-looking in a way that is immediately recognizable even across species. Wouldn’t you be thrilled to call him your Beau?
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Beau is the definition of a lap dog! He always wants to be pressed up right next to you. His perfect forever home would welcome him on couches and in bed, where he will sleep a majority of the day (hopefully by your side). If he’s not soliciting pets and belly rubs in the home, he is an expert in doing so during his walks. He prefers that his walks do not exceed 2.5 miles.
He is full of personality. He likes to play guard dog whenever he hears someone at the door, but his main defense is licking their hands. He’s very patient and a quick learner, but he has a stubborn side that occasionally surfaces. His favorite game is playing tug of war. He will happily do so with any towel, stuffed animal, or even dog bed.
This pup responds to his name and is house trained as he was an owner surrender. He is also very good at sitting, and will show off his skills whenever he’s waiting patiently for food or guilting you into some cuddles. He takes his pills and supplements like a champ when it’s food time.
Beau would do best in an adult, dog savvy home, as he has some sensitive locations on his body that he may react to when touched.
