If you’re having trouble deciding between a chihuahua and a lemur as a new companion, there is no reason you have to choose. With Battenburg, an infinitesimal choco chi, you get the best of both. Long-legged, shiny and sweet, our fella, unlike a lemur, isn’t nocturnal, gets along with dogs and behaves like a prince indoors and out. If you can forgo the outlandish tail and settle for the magnificent eyes and ears, you’ve got a match. Plus, he’s got a cutie pink blep, likes to snoogle, and fits in your armpit. No need to book a trip to Madagascar, your boy is at Muttvile. Come and get him!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Meet Battenburg! This boy is as cute as they come! He is a loving, friendly, cuddly, and a go with the flow kind of guy. Battenburg loves to be right by your side or carried around. He’s my cute little shadow in the house and always likes to know what I’m doing. I put him in a dog backpack while I walk my younger pup or while I’m out and about and he loves being in there. Battenburg is great in the car, so it’s easy to take him along on outings. He gets along great with dogs, kids, and anyone he meets. We had a house full for Thanksgiving and everyone said how precious, quiet (truly, the guy doesn’t make a peep), and sweet he is! He was so cute with my 1 year niece and 3 year old nephew- he liked to be in their laps or to be next to them.
He does not have any reactivity or any form of guarding or aggression. He has done well when I’ve left him home alone with my two pups. I have a doggie camera set up and I could see that the first time I left he was a bit unsure and was looking for me, but quickly settled on the couch with my girls. After the first time, he didn’t look around for me and just slept until I came home.
Battenburg isn’t concerned about cardio and simply loves to take in the local greenery while he leisurely strolls. Battenburg is truly such a perfect and special boy. Everyone who meets him (even people who aren’t typically Chihuahua people-gasp!) just absolutely adore him!
