Barrett has forbidden us to publish his SAT scores. But all you have to do is take one look at this handsome cattle dog / border collie mix to get a sense of his remarkable intelligence and quiet intuition. A dashing medium-sized fella with black speckles and spots, Barrett’s service dog training is apparent in his attentive and well-mannered ways. And sweet? As the day is long. He is an eager friend to dogs and humans of all ages. What we have here, folks, is a bonafide gentleman and scholar. Take him home for loyal companionship and teachable moments.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Barrett is such a great boy!! He’s very alert at home when it comes to noises, but he is the most gentle soul. He responds to commands very very well and walks on leash like a champ. I’ve taken him off leash twice and his recall is pretty good!! Would definitely need some work and time to build some confidence in a new home. All I ask is that his potential adopters be patient with this dude. He used to be a service dog and i think the adjustment to not being a ‘working’ dog anymore is taking some time.
He loves to sleep in the bed and cuddle on the couch. He’s a really really good, special boy who needs a loving and patient home, someone who will take the time to allow Barrett to come out of his shell on his own.
