It never ceases to amaze us at Muttville how resilient our mutts are, and tiny terrier mix Banner is no exception! This little guy has had a rough start, but he is still very affectionate and open to love, which is what we love to see. The world is a scary place for a diminutive 7.5 pound, 10-year-old doggo, so this little black and tan chap can be a bit cautious, but he’s optimistic that good things are in his future. Although shy, Banner was happily interacting with his canine compatriots and was gentle and receptive to handling, so with a little time, we think he’ll be right as rain. He is looking for a safe place to land, maybe on your couch?
Here’s some notes from his foster:
After 4 days of being fostered, Banner is now showing his true personality. He is very alert and clear-minded, yet very mellow with humans and other dogs. He greets other dogs very politely on walks, and he is now sharing the couch with our resident dog. He is popular among children and young adults who he meets on the street. Everyone wants to pet him. People think he is a puppy because of his youthful puppy eyes.
He is now capable of a long walk. Today, he took a walk on the beach for an hour with his friend. If you are looking for a calm and gentle dog who can accompany you for a stroll, he is the one!
