It never ceases to amaze us at Muttville how resilient our mutts are, and tiny terrier mix Banner is no exception! This little guy has had a rough start, but he is still very affectionate and open to love, which is what we love to see. The world is a scary place for a diminutive 7.5 pound, 10-year-old doggo, so this little black and tan chap can be a bit cautious, but he’s optimistic that good things are in his future. Although shy, Banner was happily interacting with his canine compatriots and was gentle and receptive to handling, so with a little time, we think he’ll be right as rain. He is looking for a safe place to land, maybe on your couch?

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Banner is a very calm, sweet boy who loves to be petted and scratched by his humans. At first, he may be shy but that is because he is carefully observing the new surroundings. When he came to us as a foster, in the first 24 hours he was staying mostly in his dog bed but he was very watchful of what we do around him. In no time he came out of his corner and started asking for our attention.

By the second day, he was exploring the entire house, made friends with our resident dog, and he took a very short walk to be acquainted with other dogs. He is fully house trained too. He is actually a quite curious dog and has lot of expressions on his face, which we love to see on him. He is not territorial at all and is social and friendly to humans and other dogs. He will be good with small animals too. He will be perfect for people living in an apartment.
