Lost in the streets without shelter, without love, and without a hot meal. Bangarang was not ready to give up! He let out his rallying cry hoping someone would hear it. Muttville came to his call and now it’s your turn to keep his tail wagging. Bangarang is all sweetness. He is so friendly that when a dog gave him the cold shoulder he simply walked away. This guy is a mid size gentle giant. If you have a cat he will definitely snuggle it. Children? They will be his new BFF! Bangarang is a very calm and relaxed Pitt Bull Terrier mix who remains happy about life even though it hasn’t been very kind to him. If you want to do something about changing his life forever, adopt Bangarang!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
I just have so much to say about this sweet, soulful, gentle guy! I have truly loved having Bangarang in my home these last few days. I am watching his confidence and curiosity come out more each day.He hasn’t had any accidents in the home, and I believe him to be potty trained. I have noticed that he prefers to do his business ON trees? which is hilarious and confusing for all involved :)
The most excited Bangarang gets is when I grab his harness, signalling we’re headed outside for a walk. His toes start tapping and he walks in excited circles. It is so clear he loves going for walks and can definitely handle longer walks. We’re doing a long walk in the morning and evening and he stays excited the whole time and keeps a pretty speedy pace. He pulls a little on leash, mostly towards trees to mark, but I think this will improve with practice/training.
He really really likes being outside – he suns himself on the back deck for daytime naps and likes to go check-out what’s happening out there often. I don’t believe Bangarang knows any commands – he’s a training command blank slate!
Stairs are…a development area? Today I saw him go up 3 stairs and I was thrilled. I think right now is afraid of them and hasn’t had much experience. I think he’s physically capable but it will take time.
Bangarang is a silent pup – no barking and he hasn’t made a peep in the home. He doesn’t seek attention with any noises. The only time I’ve heard him cry a little is when we’re walking and he sees a dog at a distance that he wants to meet.
Really interested in other dogs! We’ve done a couple on-leash meetings and he stays very calm and lets them sniff. He seems to want to play, but I haven’t facilitated that yet. He was doing great around the dogs in the Muttville loft and would probably enjoy some doggy friends.
Lastly – he is starting to really embrace comfy dog beds! Shows no interest in getting on the couch, but is taking long naps in the dog bed and sleeps in one throughout the night in my bedroom.
