Bamboo is an environmentally sustainable source of cuteness and cuddles! He provides nonstop charm with his proudly curled tail, sweet face and darling folded ears. Bamboo’s tail is all the cuter when it wags with pleasure. He’ll be wagging that tail happily as he escorts you for walks around town; he’s a peppy guy who enjoys being out and about making new friends and sniffing new smells. Bamboo does wonderfully with other dogs on walks, and out and about, but would prefer to be the King of his Castle in a home.
Here’s a note from his foster mom!
Little Bamboo is full of curiosity. He follows me around, adorably quirking his head to ask “what is that?” to every new thing! He loves going on long and short walks. He explored Golden Gate Park meeting new people and dogs for over 3 miles! But he is just as happy with a short walk to the dog park and back, or to lay napping for a few hours while I work.
He has frequent access to the backyard where he enjoys sunbathing. He loves playing with stuffed toys, but doesn’t like to share.
Bamboo has the potential to be a great cuddler, but needs someone patience to let him go at his own pace. He has figured out how to hop up onto the couch and to lay next to me, but doesn’t like being picked up. He’s a very independent boy!
He sleeps through the night next to my bed (and would be IN IT if he had his way!) and appears fully house trained. No accidents to speak of!
Bamboo is very affection motivated and we are working on ‘Drop’, ‘No’, and ‘Wait’ commands, peppered with lots of pets whenever he gets it right. He is so smart and eager to please, he just isn’t quite sure how to do that yet.
