How can you resist Axl? Those floppy ears that bounce as he goose-steps down the sidewalk intent on the nearest patch of green grass to enjoy.
He looks like nothing so much as a mini yellow lab on doxie legs.
Axl loves watching the world revolve around him. He interacts well with other little dogs and is vocal when bigger dogs come close – you would be startled too upon looking up and seeing something big towering over you! It’s unknown how he feels about cats, but as his vision is not perfect he doesn’t even notice the ones he passes on walks.
His very favorite things, second only to breakfast and dinner, is catching the occasional sunbath and being by your side on the couch. He is good on leash and enjoys walks through the neighborhood.
He doesn’t care about balls or toys, but is content to be where you are. Axl is very easy going about having jackets put on him and harnesses for walks. He travels well in the car but prefers to be close to his person – if he can’t see you (i.e. being relegated to the back seat ) he will let you know – I’m just a little guy in a big back seat – where is everybody !
Axl is about 11 years old, 12 pounds and with lots of spunk in him. He has dry eyes and will require drops each day, but he is ready for his new forever home!
