Meet Aunt Sally, a distinguished black Pomeranian with one fancy white paw and a heart full of love. She’s a senior lady with the soul of a couch cushion—soft, loyal, and not moving anytime soon. Aunt Sally takes life at a gentle pace, prefers introductions like fine wine (slow and smooth), and adores canine company. If you’ve got snacks, snuggles, and a soft spot on the sofa, she just might adopt you.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

We have had the pleasure of hosting Aunt Sally for about a week now and I am so very proud of the progress that she has made! It was clear from the beginning that she had not had a lot of positive interactions with people or living comfortably in a home. Despite this she has remained a gentle girl. For the first 3 to 4 days, she was only comfortable underneath our bed. Now Sally is spending more time with us in the common areas and exploring the house. She even naps comfortably in the living room while we watch TV.

She still startles easily and will run away, but will usually come back soon afterward. Sally is definitely becoming more inquisitive and wants to know what everyone in the house is up to. My husband and I will frequently find her following a minute or two behind us. She really enjoys chin scratches and is giving some little tail wags while being pet or getting yummy treats!

Sally is still pretty afraid of the outside world and we have not begun leash training or neighborhood walks yet. She is, however, getting more comfortable in our backyard. She is taking quickly to both potty pad and outside potty training. Sally will continue to blossom in a patient and quiet home. She would also probably do best having her own small backyard to potty in.
