If you take the time to visit Muttville, you might just spot a tiny chi that looks more like a fox kit than a doggo. Pretty as a fox, but twice as clever, this winsome mutt, dubbed Aunt Charlie, this precious little princess will remind you of your favorite aunt, the one who smuggled you snacks or took you on clandestine shopping trips. With reddish brown fur and ears that have won the “Muttville Ears of Excellence” award from its inception, you will find it exceedingly difficult not to give her head a fond pat. Although a bit on the shyer side with the pups at Muttville, she’s been a perfect lady with the humans. Aunt Charlie might be an introvert, but she’d be the perfect companion for sitting on the couch or taking a snooze. And she’ll look splendid doing it!
If you have room for this foxy little lady in your life, come meet Aunt Charlie today!
Here’s some notes from her foster:
If you’re an introvert and a homebody, then Aunt Charlie will be your perfect soul mate. She is a pretty little princess who will be happy to snuggle with you and hold down the fort on your couch as you read, nap and introvert together. She does take some time to warm up to strangers, but she will grace you with her puppy stares and light paw taps once you gain her trust. Aunt Charlie also has no problem being left alone- she will just guard the castle (though she definitely snoozes on the job) till you get home from your daily dragon-slaying adventures.
She also makes for a delightful coworker if you work from home -she will happily curl up on your lap and quietly perform lap-warming duties while you power through your virtual meetings. Some reciprocation of gentle fur stroking would be very much appreciated though!
Aunt Charlie does great with other dogs, but tends to keep to herself. Hence, will probably do best with similarly introverted doggy companions that will respect her personal space. This girl boss knows what she wants and absolutely knows how to charm you into getting what she wants! She can be picky about food, but has shown to be a fan of minced or shredded chicken/turkey as food toppers. She seems to have been pee pad trained at her previous home, but she also very quickly picked up how to potty outdoors in the backyard within less than a week.
While she’s 98% indoor couch dog, Aunt Charlie does enjoy the occasional sunbathing in the backyard and a little jaunt around the block in a little puppy sling pouch. It’s such a joy to see her little nose sniffing at the wind to catch the delightful smells of the neighborhood.
