Sweet Auburn was found at the bottom of a cereal box, the best prize ever!

We scooped her out, brushed off the flakes, and now we’re ready to share her with you. Auburn is so nice with people and gets along great with dogs. And as if that weren’t enough, she’s also adorably shy. What could be more rewarding than connecting with a demure little pup who has so much love to share – helping her to blossom, feel secure, and settle into the comforts of her new life. Nothing!

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Auburn aka Bernie is a very sweet girl! She has been very polite with my small dog and seems ok with other small dogs once she gets to know her person (under 24 hours), she is easy to handle and is fine with her harness and collar being taken on and off, and is learning to tolerate her teeth being brushed.

She is perfectly house trained and can hold her potty for my whole work day (roughly 9 hours). She does not demonstrate any separation anxiety and is mostly quiet but does like to initiate a small bark fest if she thinks something is going on.

She is a little reluctant on the leash, and is always looking behind herself and lagging behind a little. it appears she maybe has not had much exposure to being on a leash in the community, but she is working on this w daily neighborhood and park walks.

She learned to do the stairs very quickly and is fine on car rides. She does seem to have a preference for human food but will eat her dog food. She is a sweet girl and an easy dog.
